These are instructions, workbooks and guidelines to help you understand how to operate in each of these HR programs and services; how to turn the theory into practice. They are organized below into various categories to help you find and locate the right guide for you. The workbooks are designed with written instructions and screen shots to illustrate what you should be looking at when you are performing a particular function. We want to be sure you know how to do each step properly.   • The TalentValue Selection Process   There are 12 Steps to a First Class Selection System. If you want to find first class employees, you will need to recruit, select and hire great people. HR Out of the Box is a web based integrated Human Resource platform for compliance. It is your source for Job Descriptions, Learning Checklists, Performance Development Plans, and the HR Resource Center customized to your industry.  You will need to know how to log in and work your way around the site. Once you understand the basic concepts it is easy to continue throughout the whole site.

  • An introduction to the JOB DESCRIPTION   This is a general overview to show you what a Job Description looks like and how it is constructed. Each of the components are used throughout the entire TalentValue HR system.
  • JOB DESCRIPTION Training Workbook  Once you get a sense of what a job description does, this workbook will help you use the Job Description to its maximum potential in your hiring process.
  • THE LEARNING CHECKLIST Training Workbook  Now that you have hired someone you will need to train them to be compliant with the standards you have set. That is the purpose of the Learning Checklist (LCL). Learn how to use this tool to get the most productivity out of your people.
  • PERFORMANCE AND DEVELOPMENT PLAN Training Workbook PDP  This is your performance review process.  We call it the Performance Development Plan (PDP) and it puts the responsibility on your employees to improve their productivity. The same way we hire; is the same way we train; and the same way we retain. Learn how to conduct a good performance discussion.
  • How to Navigate in THE JOB BANK in HR Out of the Box  Once you understand the basics, you will have the opportunity to edit the job descriptions in your job site so that the job descriptions are customized to you and the way you do business in your home town.   Here is your step-by-step guide to make that happen. You will need to log into HR Out of the Box to access this resource using your own username and password.
  • How to Navigate in the RESOURCE CENTER in HR Out of the Box  Within HR Out of the Box is information, documents, guidelines and material to help you work with your employees better and manage your business more effectively.  It is all in the HR Resource Center.
